Hey there! I'm Ekin, a researcher, data scientist, and all-around GPU enthusiast.

During my Master's studies, I explored the privacy implications of federated learning with deep neural networks. During my studies, I was also working as a data scientist. While the research itself was straightforward, I quickly realized that the real world was far from it. The industry is plagued with issues, from messy data to complex MLOps. But one thing remained consistent: inefficiencies in resource usage.

As a data scientist, I've had the opportunity to see both sides of GPU usage, from the clean and organised research world to the messier, business-driven industry. Despite their differences, both research and industry suffer from inefficiencies in GPU usage. That's why I feel compelled to share my knowledge on GPUs and help data scientists to be more productive instead of dealing with infrastructure issues. I've learned about the importance of GPUs and the best practices for utilizing them effectively.

That's why we put our forces together and started "AI Infrastructure Club" Discord server, where we discuss all things GPU and help each other make the most out of our GPUs. If you're looking to discover new tools, exchange ideas on how to get the most out of your GPUs, or just want to connect with others that suffer the same CUDA error messages, come join us. Whether you use them daily or are just curious, we're here to support each other and make the process as productive and enjoyable as possible.

To help achieve this goal, we've launched "genv," an open-source project aimed at streamlining GPU usage for data scientists. Give it a try and let us know what you think on our Discord channel, LinkedIn, or Twitter.

I'm also a board member of TUM.ai, the largest student initiative on AI in Germany. Our goal is to connect students and stakeholders to drive positive societal impact through interdisciplinary AI projects. We believe the future of AI should be accessible to everyone and aim to bridge the gap through projects, talks, and panel discussions. I've previously served as the team lead for our hackathon department and the growth team, where I organized our signature hackathon with partners like OpenAI and Microsoft, and sought out opportunities for the community to increase our impact.

In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in music and discovering new sounds. Go ahead and stalk my playlists on Spotify! I'm always on the lookout for fresh beats and playlists, so feel free to recommend some of your favorites!

You can connect with me on LinkedIn or Twitter if you want to chat about music or anything else. And remember, I'm always here to help and collaborate, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any ideas or questions. Whether it's about GPUs, AI, or just life in general, I'm always down for a good chat. Let's connect and make the most of our time!
